FAQs
What is cosmetic tattooing?
Cosmetic tattooing, also known as permanent makeup or derma-pigmentation, involves the use of specialized equipment and techniques to deposit pigment under the skin's surface. This innovative method can be used to mimic the look of hair strokes, create a flawless makeup appearance, or enhance the natural features of the face. Using only sterile and disposable tools, our team of highly trained artists work with each client to achieve their desired look with precision and attention to detail.
What is the difference between cosmetic tattooing and standard tattooing?
Cosmetic tattooing is a technique designed to enhance a client's natural features with a soft and subtle touch. Unlike traditional body tattoos, cosmetic tattoo procedures use specialized pigments that are formulated to gently fade over time. This fading effect is desirable, as it allows our artists to make adjustments to the color and shape of the tattoo as the client's skin tone and facial features change over the years. Our team of skilled artists work closely with each client to ensure that their desired outcome is achieved with precision and artistry.
Does the cosmetic tattooing hurt?
To ensure your comfort during the procedure, we use highly-effective topical anesthetic cream and gel for numbing. We understand that pain threshold levels vary from person to person, and we make every effort to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. However, please note that having the service during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort. Also, if you are a frequent smoker, the effects of the topical anesthetics used may not last as long. If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, please be aware that it may affect your sensitivity tolerance to the procedure. Rest assured that we will do everything we can to make the process as comfortable as possible for you.

As a precaution, we do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant or nursing women.
How long does cosmetic tattoos last?
Cosmetic tattoo treatments will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed every 1-2 years. Frequency of sessions depends on a number of factors including: the pigment colour used (lighter colours fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure), and if any chemical peels come into contact with treated areas. Please note that final results CANNOT be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your second session and make any changes necessary. Multiple sessions are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring a minimum of 2 visits. Your second session can be booked no sooner than 2 months after the initial appointment. Additional sessions will be charged according to our current pricing.
